The Best German Footballer Is Currently Injured - Diego Forlan On Michael Ballack

 World Cup golden ball winner Diego Forlan has given a vote of confidence to injury-plagued Bayer Leverkusen star Michael Ballack. The Uruguay and Atletico Madrid striker believes that Ballack is the best German player in the game at the moment.

"I think the best German player is currently injured," Forlan told Sport-Bild, alluding to Ballack. "He and [Bastian] Schweinsteiger in midfield - it can't be much better."

And when asked his opinion of the best German striker, the Uruguayan replied: "Miroslav Klose."

Forlan was disappointed not to have faced Ballack at the World Cup, or in either of Atletico's Europa League clashes with Leverkusen.
