Osasuna Winger Juanfran Nearing Atletico Madrid Switch – Report

 Rumours that Osasuna’s Juanfran is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid were heightened on Saturday morning, when AS reported that the 25-year-old is only a couple of steps away from the capital side.

Having grown through the Real Madrid cantera, Juanfran has managed to flourish in Pamplona, where he has become one of los Rojillos’ top performers. He may not have claimed international honours to compliment his array of youth caps, but he is a firmly established Primera Division player, and after four-and-a-half exciting years at the Reyno de Navarra appears poised to move on.

Reports suggest that personal terms in the transfer have already been agreed and that Atleti are simply waiting on the judgement of Osasuna president Patxi Izco, whose role it is to accept or decline the offer.

Los Colchoneros have reportedly laid down €3 million, an offer they will not up (and an offer smaller than previously suggested), and to further increase the stakes have supposedly placed a Monday deadline on the Pamplona club accepting their bid.
