The Czech full-back has been accused of not seeing eye-to-eye with the tactician, as Atleti’s season descends into farce following three consecutive defeats in all competitions.
However, Ujfalusi placed his backing behind Flores, and called for all parties at the club to come together for the greater good.
He commented in a press conference toda:, “We need unity in these difficult times. I do not believe that we are in crisis. It is difficult, and now more than ever we much support each other, because I believe the target of the Champions League positions is still possible. I do not think that the successes of last season are taking their toll.
“The relationship with the coach has always been the same. All players behave as professionals, and we do is play. There is no bad atmosphere. However, team like ours cannot lose three straight matches, so we must try and get out of this situation.”
