WWE Plans for Wrestlemania 27

As we get closer and closer to the biggest WWE pay per view of the year we look at some of the plans that may be in place.

With only weeks to go until Wrestlemania 27, the WWE creative team will be starting to finalise what they see as their strongest card for the grandest stage of them all. At this stage nothing is set in stone but we can get an idea on who the main players may be.

The Undertaker will return at Wrestlemania 27 
There is little doubt that The Undertaker’s in ring return will likely be saved for Wrestlemania 27. However the main question is who will it be against? Surely the result is a foregone conclusion as the WWE is likely to want him to go 19-0 so that the next Wrestlemania has added significance for him to get to twenty straight wins?
There are of course many options but the favourites are Kane, who supposedly put him out of action or Wade Barrett who helped in the attack and is now on Smackdown. Neither should pose too much of a problem for the Phenom. The main problem with The Undertaker vs. Kane is that is has occurred at two previous Wrestlemania’s.

Triple H vs. King Sheamus at Wrestlemania 27 
It was Sheamus who put Triple H out of action in the spring last year. And now that he is King Sheamus it makes sense for the “King of Kings” to return to exact his revenge on the ‘Celtic Warrior’. However the main problem with this is that exactly the same match occurred last year which Triple H won. A repeat would be quite dull.

WWE and World Title Matches at Wrestlemania 27
With the way current storylines are going it would seem that The Miz, CM Punk, John Cena, Edge and Randy Orton will be involved in the world title picture on the run up to Wrestlemania but really results at the Royal Rumble will help shape that picture. It would be brave of the WWE to keep the belt on The Miz going into Mania and then inevitably either Orton or Cena would go over if they faced the champion.

Who Will Return at Wrestlemania 27
So many old faces have been linked with a return at Wrestlemania. There have been sighting of Booker T backstage at Raw. There have been rumoured negotiations will Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. And of course we know Shawn Michaels will be there as he is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before. The WWE has also been rumoured to be courting Sting but this seems a long shot at this moment in time.

Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania 27 
It is not yet known if the WWE will do a Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania this year as this now forms part of a separate pay per view. But if they do they should utilise the chance to really propel another superstar onto the next level. John Morrison showed in his recent title shot against the Miz and feud with Sheamus that he can mix it up at the top level. Perhaps now is his time to shine?
