Manchester United have reportedly filtered through their targets and have come down to three goalkeepers who could potentially fill the gap left by Edwin van der Sar.The Dutch shot-stopper confirmed on Thursday that he will hang up his gloves at the end of the season after months of speculation suggesting this could be his final season.
Van der Sar also maintained that the Red Devils are on the hunt for his replacement, with Goal.com UK having previously revealed exclusively that Tomasz Kuszczak has been told that he can leave Old Trafford.
Now The Guardian claims that the list of targets has been narrowed down to Atletico Madrid prodigy David De Gea, Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax and Schalke's Manuel Neuer.
And The Mirror has reported that United are willing to make a move for 20-year-old De Gea, who is the youngest of the three aforementioned shot-stoppers.
Barcelona have also been linked with a move for De Gea
