Juventus' search for more firepower has hemorrhaged out to Atletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan.Fabio Quagliarella's injury coincided with the arrival of Luca Toni from Genoa on Friday, but the 33-year-old Italy international is not the proxy for the former Napoli man.
La Gazzetta dello Sport now reports it's back to the scene of the January transfer window for Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta and his assistants with Forlan the target.
The Atletico ace has often been challenged by fans at the Vicente Calderon this season, unhappy that his form is not like in previous seasons.
Juventus would have to bid around €15 million to gain Spanish attention, although Marotta has said that huge amounts of cash would not be spent in January.
Forlan is recovering from an ankle injury and is expected to return for action against Hercules on Monday.
